gives our lives meaning, purpose and joy. We are not
bored, deprived, judgmental or religious! We love to
laugh and our church is a fun place to be.
close to God. Either they think that they can't love
God, or that God can't love them. I realized that I had
both problems. I thought of God as a stern,
judgmental Father, And I thought that I had so many
flaws and had made so many mistakes that God
couldn't keep loving and forgiving me. As I learned to
soak in His presence and read His Word, the Bible, I
found that this is exactly the glorious message of
Christ. He loves us no matter what and keeps on
loving us. He even longs to be friends with us!
relationship with someone when the
communication is only going one way. I had
been praying "at" God for years. I had never
listened expecting Him to also communicate
with me. I think I was afraid of what he might say!
God started to gently speak to me about His
love for me, and to fill me with joy and peace. I
found that His Holy Spirit was not something to
fear but someONE to love. The Bible speaks of
Him as a comforter.
plan is always for our good. Because he has made
us with free will, we can reject that plan or derail it.
But I found that God took my worst mistakes and
when I was ready to ask for forgiveness and
restoration, he set my feet back on a path that was
perfect for me.
