Our Home Birth
|

Our daughter Grace was born at home. This was a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean).
It was great to eat what I wanted (grilled cheese!) and curl up with my baby in my own bed. Our Elizabeth was just barely two at the time and she was recovering from lung surgery. We had a friend come to care for Elizabeth, but she slept right through the birth until the unheard of hour of 10AM, waking up after Grace was born at 9:36 AM.
Grace's birth certificate has a big number 1 in the corner as there is no hospital in our town and she was issued the first birth certificate here.
